6 Things You Should Have In Your Home Right Now

Having your own home is great! Growing into your own style, from your first apartment to your more “adult” style is a path we all have to go through and if you want to, it can be really fun and enjoyable.

Finding items that make you feel right at home is important and it’s always nice to have little pieces to cherrish and curate.

It doesn’t have to be a huge collection of expensive and big things, but small items that remind you of how you like to spend your time at home will always work.

Here are our 6 Things You Should Have In Your Home Right Now:

1. Soap

Soap? Yes, soap! It really makes it to the top of our 6 Home Decor Essentials! The whole pandemic / covid fear has left us washing our hands a million times a day, and what better way to do so than with a special soap that smells wonderful and is easy on those busy hands?

There are plenty of options available, but try to go for a signature bar that defines your whole powder room. A natural blend with some oils and emolients will make a real difference.

I love having a special soap so that my guests feel like they had an experience while washing their hands!

2. Glasses

It’s fun to shop for the perfect glasses for your home, there are so many options available that could sometimes overlwhelm you, but deciding on a style and going with it will help you with the rest of your choices for your silverware and plates. I love having a nice set of cocktail glasses for my guests, and informal glasses for everyday use. I’m obsessed with smoky glass lately, and these right here are great examples:

3. Sheets

Here’s an investment that will last for years! Think about how nice it is to go to bed and have those crisp, soft sheets waiting for you! It’s really a no brainer, a little investment in your sleep that goes a really long way.

I love linen sheets and how they feel softer with every use, and those bamboo sheets are the real deal! Just try to keep the colors simple and neutral as to allow you to change your bed cover freely during the different seasons, without having your sheets look out of place.

4. Calendar

Having a nice calendar in your home office or even in the kitchen will bring some peace of mind and help you organize your days in a better way. There are many, many options available for big calendars, you can go for a nice print that goes along with your whole decor or even an erasable one, that you can use every month. It’s easy, affordable and super useful!

5. Your own home scent

Just like finding your favorite parfum, choosing a scent for your home is a very personal thing. You can go for candles, difusers or linen sprays. You don’t always have to choose the same scent for every spot of your home, maybe having a few candles in your bathroom and a different scent for your living room…

After a difficult or long day, there’s nothing better than lighting a candle (and opening a bottle of wine) to unwind!

6. Cushions or Throw Pillows

I love cushions!! I love planning and shopping for them.

Having a few pillow covers you’ve searched for and found, with a fluffly filling will make your home feel yours, unique and put togehter.

Also, it’s  a big plus that they will always come in handy for an evening nap on the couch or binging on a new season of your favorite show, in bed.
