The KATA leather area rug was born from a client’s need for something modern and fresh. She was looking to create some tension between delicate and strong, in a geometric pattern.

We worked with this idea to create a triangle pattern that would be big enough as to be perceived as a triangle, but also, small enough as to blend in an heterogeneous mesh.

The KATA rug is fresh and luxurious. It can easily be perceived ad playful and young, but also fancy and stylish.

The triangles are shown in pure, natural white cowhide, taking different hues depending on the way the light reflects on the hair.

Sturdy and rustic yet delicate, the hair is easy to clean and maintain. A simple vacuum can be done in just seconds, to revive the hair and suck little specs of dust easily.

This style can blend perfectly with any kind of decor and flooring. It looks great with wooden floors, or concrete, or even stone floors can benefit from the warmth of the natural hair-on-hide.
